Lazy
Lazy - Day 21
This is day 21 of the challenge - A story a day, keeps the boredom away. Each day I'll try to reach my goal of 500 words a day. Today I'll be writing about being Lazy, Unproductive, and how today my laziness took over me.
Today, I decided to take it nice and slow. It was a Friday after all... I decided to go and chill for the whole day, until I was notified that today was Friday Prayer. This was during 1:00 pm, and so I was rushed, but before that, let me explain my morning and how I was lazy.
Today, when I woke up, I had to wake up at 3:30 am, due to prayer times being so early in the morning because of where the UK is located. Once we had finished praying, we all went back to sleep. Once I had woken up, it was about 6:30 am as I had setted up an alarm to go off at 6:30 am. When the alarm had went off, I had successfully gotten up, checked my phone, and... Went back to sleep just right after I had turned it off. I was still really tired as the night before; I had slept at midnight. This tiredness would keep coming to me every single time I had did something and would soon control me till the time that my parent said that we would be going to Friday prayer.
When I went back to sleep at 6:30 am, I had woken up a bit later, about 7:30 am if I had to estimate, as this was when my little brother had woken up to go to school as he had one more day and his last day to go to school till the summer holiday - yesterday, me and my brother had already our last day of school. Then right after, my brother had gotten up as well and went to my parents' bedroom, while I set there, helpless, letting my laziness take over my body, and so I went back to sleep right after that.
This problem would keep repeating every so, 5 minutes if I had to suggest. So, every 5 minutes, I would wake up, put my head up, but then lay my head back down, get into a more comfortable position, then go instantly back to sleep. This kept happening, so much, it had already become 9:00 am when I had gotten the courage to fully get up and go downstairs. I also decided to set up the bed back up and then went back down.
I went downstairs to make my breakfast, and while I went down, I saw my brother on the couch, just eating his cereal. I thought he had eaten his cereal a while ago, but apparently, we are sort of in the same situation. To be fair, we had slept at midnight last night, and we ate some spicy noodles as well, so it's sort of reasonable why we both woke up pretty late. My little brother had already left to school a while ago and so I went into the kitchen and made my breakfast and sat onto my chair, ready to play some games and watch some videos to be entertained.
While I ate, I started to get a bit lazy again and I wanted to go get back to sleep again, but I had to quickly finish up my eating and what I was doing in my game. I was trying to trade in the game I was playing and I wanted to finish my goal, and currently it is midnight, I have still not finished my goal, but I had finished another goal though (goal in like achievement, not scoring).
After this, I had decided to go to back to the bedroom to just watch on the phone because I was super lazy, and I was getting tired as well. Without me knowing, a bunch of time had already passed by. It was already 12:30 am and soon later, it had become 1:00 pm and my dad had arrived back home. He said to get ready as we would be going to Friday prayer, and I hadn't even taken a shower yet and so, I brushed my teeth and instantly got into the shower. I decided to shower really quick, it only took about 5 minutes, till I got changed, put on my socks, sandals, and we setted off to the Mosque, so that we could pray. After this quick trip, it changed my mind and I was now, no longer lazy. I'm not sure why but I'm just not tired anymore for the rest of my day.
So, the lesson out of this is that, if you are lazy, don't let it take over you, don't let it control you, even if that is what you want to do, you still have to be somewhat productive, it may not be much, but being productive is better than letting the laziness inside of you take over.
Life is too short. Make the most out of it. You don't know when your last day is. Live the way you want to live.
That quote tells a lot, in just a few sentences. If your life goal is to be lazy, then go for it but it's very unproductive and most likely, will end you up unsuccessful. Make the most out of it, everything is like a ticking timer. Thanks for reading.
