Sick all day Pt3

Sick all day Pt3 - Day 38

For today, we were all sick and we barely did anything, if not much. The moment we woke up, my little brother kept staying in bed and kept coughing but I kept seeing that he wouldn't cover his mouth every single time he would cough, spreading it, and since we had no ventilation due to the windows not being able to be opened. It was also the fact that the room only had two vents to get air out which one of them was on the roof, while the other was near the floor in the bathroom, while there was two vents near above where you enter as the air intake as that's what you could change the temperature of as like an air conditioner.

This soon caused my mom to be sick but she could still get up and do like a regular routine. It was also a little bit about my little sister being sick. Apparently she threw up while I was in the bathroom and it was because she was sick. We stayed most of today in the bedroom and when we got hungry, we would eat the foot that we had brought from home ( which was pretty good as we brought salmon, bread, deserts and more ), and we also ate the Indian food that I had talked about in the previous writing. We ate it with the nan bread that we had brought from home.

I also tried to play Roblox by using the internet the hotel had provided and it did not work at all. My dad had to buy premium Wi-Fi and it worked but I didn't feel it was right playing Roblox while my older brother couldn't. So I sticked to playing offline games and watching YouTube. The premium internet as well only could allow 3 people to use it at a time and it would only last for just 24 hours, for the price of £5. For the average visitor which is probably going to stay for a few days, like us, probably wouldn't realise the price because it doesn't cost that much, but the price of £5 for 24 hours with 3 max people, is sort of crazy. But I really can't be complaining as they said the Premium internet would give a guarantee of 8x the internet speed and they weren't lying, because after I started using it, there was massive boost in performance. I used a internet speed test website and the free Wi-Fi the hotel had provided gave a internet speed of 0.5 Mbps on download while a low 0.4 Mbps for the internet in upload. Unfortunately, when I took a screenshot of it, it never saved so I can't show it. This was also during the night where no one was using it. I have to say, those results are very very low, but they were surprising as it seemed like the internet was faster than that because my YouTube videos were loading surprisingly well with that type of speed. While the premium Wi-Fi that costs £5 for 24 hours, gave me a speed of 5 Mbps for the download and 4 Mbps for the upload. That's not bad, but for the price your paying, it's sort of overpriced. For a regular bandwidth, you can buy like 150 Mbps internet for about £40 a month, while the hotel would cost £150 for a month of premium Wi-Fi.

If I have to be real about the internet situation. I really can't be complaining because of the position we were in. The Isle of Wight is literally nearly in the middle of no where. It's literally the most south in the UK or one of the most south. I also checked a website ( which is the same website I checked to see the internet speed test, pretty sure it's Ookla speed test ) which showed the availability of internet of the whole UK of many specific internet brands. I clicked 3Three, and it showed that the Isle of Wight only had availability of 2.4GHZ or internet or 4G internet. It was mainly because we were really near to the coast and there were barely any signal there because of how far away it was from the big cities and this was a small city with barely anyone. So it wouldn't have been a good thing to invest into that island as they would barely make any money back. At least it was generous of them to give them access, but that should be the minimum so that's good.

There's really not anything else to talk about today because it was just really boring for the most part because we were all sick. That's pretty much it. Thanks for reading, Goodbye.
